Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd has signed a tenancy agreement with Cold Storage to establish the premium grocer’s presence at Sendayan Merchant Square in Bandar Sri Sendayan (BSS), Seremban.

This marks the entry of Cold Storage, Singapore’s oldest grocery brand and a recognised premium name in Malaysia, into Negri Sembilan.

“Sendayan Merchant Square is envisioned as more than just a commercial space. It is the lifestyle heartbeat of Bandar Sri Sendayan,” said Matrix Concepts co-chief executive officer of property development Chai Keng Wai.

“Anchoring this hub with a trusted household name like Cold Storage ensures not only convenience but also elevates the overall retail experience for our growing community,” he added.

Set for completion by end-2026, the Modular Village Concept behind Sendayan Merchant Square is designed for walkability, interaction and inclusivity, featuring open plazas, shaded walkways and flexible retail formats.

The development will also include outdoor play areas and an event plaza to serve residents and visitors of all ages. The entry of Cold Storage comes as Bandar Sri Sendayan matures into a 2,752ha master-planned township with over 120,000 residents.

Connected to key highways and supported by lifestyle amenities such as d’Tempat Country Club, X Park, and international schools, the area is increasingly positioned as a prime destination for families and businesses. Beyond retail, Matrix Concepts has been expanding its community-driven ecosystem.

This includes partnerships with Golog Holdings for a 250ha dual-hub industrial park and a joint venture with Alpro Group and Mercy Home to develop a modern nursing home in Suria Heights. The arrival of Cold Storage complements an already strong tenant mix that includes McDonald’s, Family Mart, ZUS Coffee, Watsons and MR.D.I.Y. Several other F&B brands are also expected to debut in Negri Sembilan through the hub.
