Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd received the Silver Award in the Relations with Local Communities (Large Companies) category at the ESG Positive Impact Awards 2025, recognising the company’s long-standing commitment to community development. The award was primarily driven by the success of the Matrix Foodbank Drive, one of Matrix’s flagship CSR initiatives, which reflects the company’s belief that responsible development extends beyond building townships to caring for the people who live within them.
Now in its sixth edition, the Matrix Foodbank Drive has evolved from assisting around 40 households in its early years to supporting 62 underprivileged families across Seremban. Conducted in collaboration with Kechara Soup Kitchen, the programme provides essential food assistance while strengthening community resilience. Beyond the Foodbank Drive, Matrix also continues to invest in initiatives such as its Back-to-School Programme and Meal-A-Day CSR Programme, providing school necessities and nutritious meals to children from underserved families.
Group Managing Director Kelvin Lee Chin Chuan described the recognition as particularly meaningful because it acknowledges a programme that embodies Matrix’s values of supporting communities, offering hope during difficult times, and ensuring that no one is left behind. As Matrix celebrates its 30th anniversary, the company reaffirmed its commitment to investing in people, strengthening communities, and building sustainable townships where everyone can thrive.
The ESG Positive Impact Award recognises Matrix Concepts not only for its community outreach programmes but also for its broader commitment to responsible and inclusive township development.
